Friday Finds (Sept.12)

September 12, 2008

What great books did you hear about, or find, this week? SHARE WITH US YOUR FRIDAY FINDS!

((Just a note of clarification… the books I list in my FF posts are not books that I have bought… they are just titles of books that I have come across in my online “travels” during the week –browsing book blogs, and stores, etc– that I’ve added to my “To Be Read” [TBR] list… I wish I could buy all these books, but I don’t have that kind of money …or space! LOL))

My FRIDAY FINDS:

DEWEY: The Small-Town Library Cat That Changed the World ~ by Vicki Myron and Brett Witter (found via LibraryThing.com’s “Early Reviewers” list this month — love the cover of this one, too!)

WORK HARD. BE NICE: How Two Inspired Teachers Created America’s Best Schools ~ by Jay Matthews (another that I found through LT Early Reviewers)

THE LATE BLOOMER’S REVOLUTION: A Memoir ~ by Amy Cohen (found via http://shereadsandreads.blogspot.com)

THE SERPENT AND THE SCORPION ~ by Clare Langley-Hawthorne (don’t recall where I found this one… someone’s blog, I think, but I didn’t write it down!)

THE LAST SUMMER (OF YOU AND ME) ~ by Ann Brashares (found via http://susanlovesbooks.blogspot.com)

LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Friday Finds post, or share your “finds” in your comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks! :D

  2. That Dewey book is certainly hard to miss when you’re a kitty lover! I certainly fancy reading that one.

  3. My weekly lists are really getting out of hand, but I’m writing exactly what I add to my TBR list. It’s shameful, really … there’s NO WAY I’ll ever get to read all these books.

  4. I’m adding Dewey and Work Hard to my wish list. They both look like my kind of reads!

  5. I do love kitties, Loopyloo100! And, yes, that’s exactly why “Dewey” caught my eye! ;)
…books and kitties… who could resist???
