Teaser Tuesdays (Feb.24)

February 24, 2009

teasertuesdays3TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:

  • Grab your current read.
Let the book fall open to a random page.
Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given
    !
    Please avoid spoilers!

My Two Teasers:

“It’s easy to be sympathetic toward Mary and get angry at the people who would have tried to stone her if they knew she was pregnant. But have you ever considered how you’d respond to a teenage girl who became pregnant and then said God did it?”

~ p.84, “Fixing Abraham” by Chris Tiegreen

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your 2 ‘teasers’ in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks! D

  1. Great quote! I’ve thought of that before. I’m sure everyone would have thought she was crazy (or lying).

  38. Teaser Tuesday on Friday, because that’s what I do :-) .

  39. Like Florinda, I’ve got two teasers up on Friday, here.

  40. I love your teaser sentences. Very intriguing.
Here are mine, from Never Cry Wolf, a 1963 nonfiction book by Farley Mowat:
“I was sorry to see him go, for the knowledge that I was now entirely alone with the local wolves, while satisfying from a scientific point of view, seemed to intensify the Hound of the Baskervilles atmosphere of the desolate and stormswept lands around me. Then too, I had not yet clearly decided upon the best method of approaching the wolves, and I would have been happy to have had Mike perform the initial introductions.” I’m almost done with this book and I’ve really enjoyed it.

Please be patient if your comment doesn't show up right away... I will 'release' it as soon as I can. Thanks for your thoughts! ~MizB
