REVIEW: Yesterday’s Embers by Deborah Raney

March 19, 2009

When Doug DeVore loses his wife and daughter, he doesn’t know how he’ll manage to go on, let alone how he’ll raise his 5 remaining children on his own. Enter Mickey Valdez, the kids’ daycare teacher. Mickey offers to help out as much as she can, and the two develop a deep friendship.

I really enjoyed this book, even though much of it left me frustrated at the main characters! LOL. It’s a good look at marriage, and how our choices don’t only affect us, but those around us, too.
