The Sunday Salon (March 22)
This week’s been okay for reading. Not like last week, where I finished four books! LOL. But, this week I finished 2, so that’s still pretty good.
The first was “Zig-Zagging: A Memoir” by Tom Wilson. The author is the son of the creator of the “Ziggy” cartoons, and he is also the current artist. The memoir details his childhood adoration of his father, his marriage, his subsequent loss, and how he continued on after the fact. It’s a pretty good book. I really enjoyed the “Ziggy” cartoons throughout. This book will be featured as a blog tour here, at Should Be Reading, on March 30th, so stay tuned! There’ll be a chance to win a copy of the book, too!
The other book I finished was Deborah Raney’s “Yesterday’s Embers“. This one featured a man who also was dealing with loss, and the trial of having to move on. I couldn’t put this book down! Read my review here.
Now I’m working on “Apologetics for a New Generation” by Sean McDowell, and it’s okay. Some parts are really interesting, and other parts are putting me to sleep. LOL. Ah well. I’m not very far into it, yet.
Hopefully, in the next few days, I’ll be able to get some good reading in, but today I have to work, so reading will be impossible. This evening, maybe, after I get home.
Have a great week, everyone!
