REVIEW: “It’s All Too Much” by Peter Walsh

April 22, 2009

I really enjoy books written by Peter Walsh, as he really seems to know what he’s talking about (when it comes to decluttering and organization), and his ideas are simple and straightforward, but they get right to the heart of things. He doesn’t pussyfoot around things, and gives you the tough-love you need to hear, but in a good way. ;)

This one really gave me some thorough ideas of how to seriously declutter & simplify my life in order to bring more peace & order. He goes through each part of your house, room-by-room, and gives you ideas for what you can get rid of, and what you should keep.

This is the second book I’ve read by this author, and I fully intend to seek out more of his work. ;)

  1. I’ve seen him on Oprah before. I’ll have to check out his books… I certainly have some clutter that can be tackled!

  2. No question that I should take some time to reorder my house! Maybe in the fall.

I’ve been a Peter Walsh fan since around 2003 when I started watching him on TLC’s Clean Sweep. I have this book (and another of his) and haven’t finished it yet, but it’s already been a great help – the next best thing to having him come to the house. With him over my shoulder in book form, I really believe that for the first time, I can really conquer some demons. [I also highly recommend Julie Morgenstern and her books.]

  4. I haven’t read any of Peter Walsh’s books, but I just love decluttering and get organized books. I’ll have to check this title out.

Please be patient if your comment doesn't show up right away... I will 'release' it as soon as I can. Thanks for your thoughts! ~MizB
