The Sunday Salon (May 31)
This week I finished several books! “Nothing But Trouble” by Susan May Warren, “Crossed Wires” by Rosy Thornton, and “The Seven Faith Tribes” by George Barna.
This brings me to 38 books finished, so far, for this year. The books I’ve read, for May, were:
- 32. “Enough Already!” by Peter Walsh
- 33. “Naturally Thin” by Bethenny Frankel
- 34. “Never Give Up” by Joyce Meyer
- 35. “Start Talking” by Mary Jo Rapini & Janine Sherman
- 36. “Nothing But Trouble” by Susan May Warren
- 37. “Crossed Wires” by Rosy Thornton
- 38. “The Seven Faith Tribes” by George Barna
My favorite book for this month was probably “Nothing But Trouble“, as I devoured it quickly! Susan is one of my favorite authors, and this book didn’t disappoint! I can’t wait for the next one in the series (this was book 1 of the “PJ Sugar” series). The book was really well-written, and a mystery/romance… both elements I like in a book.
My least favorite book for this month was definitely “Naturally Thin” by Bethenny Frankel. While it was an okay book, it left me feeling “blah”, and was more “diety” than I’d been hoping for (she included a lot of intuitive eating principles — my fave! — but then still said that she, herself, added a lot of restrictions, which is not “intuitive” eating, really). So, while I didn’t hate the book, I gave it a C rating (meh).

Currently I’m reading “Gods Behaving Badly” by Marie Philips, but am not sure I’m going to stick with it. I am feeling picky right now — not sure what I want. I’d originally picked up “Thin Is the New Happy” by Valerie Frankel, but I wasn’t enjoying it like I wanted to. I was looking for more how-to, and it was more memoir (mind you, I wanted memoir, but with more how-to mixed in).
See? Told you I’m being picky!
So, we’ll see. Gods Behaving Badly is cute, so I might just finish it anyway.
Happy Reading, everyone!

Sounds like a very good reading week. Wish I could finish so many.
Well done!
I have an award for you – it’s over on my blog.

You had a great reading week. I’ll have to check out God’s behaving badly.
