Musing Mondays (June 29)
This week, Rebecca asks:
Now that we’ve come to the middle of the year, what do you think of your 2009 reading so far? Read anything interesting that you’d like to share? Any outstanding favourites?
I feel really good about my reading, so far, this year! The books have been decent — not too many “stinkers” — but that’s not what thrills me most… what really makes me happy about my reading, this year, is that I’ve doubled the total books I’ve been able to read per month! So, instead of reading 47 books by November, I’ve read that many already!
Whoohoo!
Some of my favorites, so far, have been “10 Things I Hate About Christianity” by Jason T. Berggren, “Yesterday’s Embers” by Deborah Raney, “Just Like That” by Marsha Qualey, “Vince & Joy” by Lisa Jewel, “It’s All Too Much” by Peter Walsh, and “The End of Overeating” by Dr. David Kessler. I’m sure there’s a couple more, but that gives you a good idea.
If you want to see what others I rated an “A” (my top rating — meaning “Highly recommended…couldn’t put it down!”), see my 2009 Reads page.
Actually, if you want to see the books I’ve read so far –with their covers!– check out my other blog, MizB’s Yearly Reads, too!

Well done! I hope the rest of the year goes just as well!
