This was my first novel by Austen, and it didn’t disappoint. I will not soon forget the characters of Miss Anne Elliott, Captain Wentworth, the Musgroves, etc.I thoroughly enjoyed this tale, even though it took a while to accustom myself to the old English style of writing.
Highly recommended.

Have you checked out the Everything Austen challenge that just started at Stephanie’s Written Word? It might be right up your alley (and perhaps you’ve even already entered!).

Persuasion is my favorite Austen…and it’s so under-appreciated! Glad you love it too.

Good to know. I am doing the challenge as well and am just starting to dig into Pride and prejudice. So far – so good.

As much as I love Pride and Prejudice, Anne Elliot is my favorite Austen heroine!

Oohhh – I read this book a couple of years ago, gave it 4/5. Super book, though it took me a bit to get into the language too. Really romantic, I thought.

This is one of the Austen novels I haven’t read it and it’s on my list.
After this review, I’ll have to make it my next read!
