REVIEW: Riley Socks by Leahanne Allen

July 24, 2009

RileySocksThis sweet story is about a real girl named Riley who –when she was 18 months old — had to have surgery to remove a cancerous growth from her leg. The book is written by Riley’s mother.

Young and old are encouraged to see challenges as overcomeable, especially with a positive attitude.

This is written with children in mind, but I think even adults will enjoy reading Riley’s story. :)

Rated: B+

  3. What a fine theme for a book, and the cover seems so positive! I can imagine this would be a good gift to families where someone has cancer.
