BTT: Recently Funny
This week’s question simply asks:
What’s the funniest book you’ve read recently?
That’s easy… “Marley and Me” by John Grogan. This book is so hysterically funny that it had me laughing out loud, literally, sometimes having me embarrass myself by doing so in a public place!
For example: I was reading “Marley & Me” while in the lobby of a movie theatre, waiting for our theatre to empty — the previous movie hadn’t yet ended, ’cause we’d shown up early. Well, I’m reading the part about Marley going to be fixed, just as the people are starting to file out of the theatre… and I had to slap a hand over my mouth to keep from bursting out laughing, as this part was sooooo funny!
Anyhoo. I don’t think I’ve read any other really funny books, lately.

I always love it when I want to laugh out loud at a book. Nice choice!
Marley and Me is on my tbr list. I missed the movie, so I can still be “surprised” by the book. Here is my response.
I’ll have to check it out. I couldn’t think of one book I had read that made me laugh out loud recently. Except maybe “Too Hot to Handle” which had a humorous main female character.
I didn’t really have a book that made me laugh a lot. However the one I mentioned in my post relates to a book that had certain parts that made me laugh, I suppose that counts?

Marley & Me was a great book – it made me both laugh and cry!
Most of my funny books seem to be audios.
It sounds great, but I hate it when books make me cry, so I had to skip this one.
I guess I’m another one who skipped “Marley” because I don’t do well with sad animal stories. But the film certainly looks like it has a lot of humor (haven’t seen that either), so maybe I’ll give the book a try.
I laughed so hard at the part where they got kicked out of obedience school, I was crying! I loved this book! His next book,The Way Home was really good too.
Really? I need to get to this one then!
I just saw this movie and a absolutely loved it – it made me cry and laugh both. I really want to read the book, so it’s definately on my list.
