The Sunday Salon (Sept.27)
This week I finished 2 books… the first was “An Eye for An Eye” by Irene Hannon — a very well-written book! — and the second was “Regret-Free Living” by Stephen Arterburn (see the previous post for that review).
Also, this past week, I skimmed through two books: “The Game-On Diet!” by Krista Vernoff and Az Ferguson, and “Such a Pretty Fat” by Jen Lancaster. Actually, I read through most of the first one, and read about 4 chapters of the other. Both are good books… I just didn’t have time to read them all the way through right now. Too many review books and deadlines, currently.
Last night, having finished my other book, I moved on to Charlaine Harris’ “Dead Until Dark” — the first in her “Sookie Stackhouse” series. So far, it’s pretty good. This is a library copy, so I’ve got 3 days to get it read before it is due back (can’t renew it, as it’s a very popular book, and everyone wants to read it!). Tomorrow will be a reading-and-do-nothing-else kind of day.
Then, after that, I need to read “Piece de Resistance” by Sandra Byrd, as that blog tour is coming up on October 5th.
And, the pile lined up for me following that includes…
- Falling for Romeo by Jennifer Laurens
- The Kommandant’s Girl by Pam Jenoff
- Tour de Force by Elizabeth White
- The Transformation by Terri Kraus

The first three of those are library books, and I’m going to try to get them all read. LOL. The other is the next blog tour/review book.
So, lots of reading to get through! But, I’m looking forward to all of it!
Happy Reading, everyone!

I love that cover on Tour de Force!
Me, too! That’s what drew me to the book in the first place, when I saw it on someone else’s blog.
Ditto the book cover of Tour de Force. The Transformation looks good too.
I like getting review copies, but like you, sometimes the deadlines are brutual. Good luck!
i’m enjoying the sookie stackhouse novels. i finished the second one recently and found that they make a nice read when i have nothing else tempting me
The Kommandant’s Girl cover vaguely reminds me of the Schindler’s List scenes with the little girl walking through the town.
