Teaser Tuesdays (Feb.2)

teasertuesdays31 Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teasers:

“I could not help feeling giddy the way I had once, so many years before, when I’d seen myself in the light of the palace torches. As old as I was, the sense of possibility and transformation was still there.”

~ p.105, “Godmother: The Secret Cinderella Story” by Carolyn Turgeon

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your 2 ‘teasers’ in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

  1. Usually I am like the last one to get to these things. I think I am catching on. Yay Me. Your teaser makes me a little curious…What kind of transformation?

    Here’s My Teaser

  2. Great teaser from this book! I really liked this novel and the way it challenged the way I read and look at novel and narrators in general.

    My teaser is here.

  3. I just LUV re-told fairy-tales! Will have to look for “Godmother”; thanks for the heads-up!

My teaser can be found here

    Happy Reading to you all!

  4. I’ve never heard of your book, but Cinderella is one of my fav fairytales.

I have two teasers this week, both of them romances…one a contemporary by Lora Leigh, and a historical by a debut author (that I adored). You can find them here

  5. He and Eva sang a verse in German, then again in English. Smiling and unembarrassed, their reedy voices joined together in harmony, a harmony that came from living together for nearly sixty years.
