WWW Wednesday (Feb.17)

February 17, 2010

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

* What are you currently reading?
* What did you recently finish reading?
* What do you think you’ll read next?

My answers:

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading “Abigail” by Jill Eileen Smith, and it’s excellent! This is book 2 of the ‘Wives of King David’ series, but it’s not necessary to read the first book in order to enjoy this one. :D

What did you recently finish reading?

I finished “So Long, Insecurity” by Beth Moore this past weekend. Gave it a “B” rating.

What do you think you’ll read next?

First, I’m going to finish “Godmother” by Carolyn Turgeon. I’m about 1/3 of the way through it, but keep having to set it aside for review books that have tours coming up! LOL. Then it’ll be either “Fragile Eternity” by Melissa Marr, or one of the other library books I’ve got home (“Academy 7” by Anne Osterlund, or “Laughing Wolf” by Nicholas Maes).

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own WWW Wednesdays post, or share your answers in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks! :D

    “Abigail” definitely sounds interesting!

My WWW Wednesday entry is over at bookwanderer!

  2. Sounds like you’re enjoying “Abigail”; definitely sounds interesting…

    I played along, here.

    Happy Reading!

  3. I was wondering how good Beth Moore’s new book would be. She’s a really nice person, though (at least 15 years ago, when I met her).

    What I am reading:

    • I absolutely LOVE Beth Moore & her teaching! I’ve done over 5 of her studies with my ladies’ Bible study group. And, I’m totally ecstatic to be going to see Beth, live at a conference, next month! :D

  4. I read Godmother last year – it was good, but the ending was a little weird. I’m still not sure whether I liked it or not.

  5. Now I’m really curious about Godmother.

    Here’s my list:

  6. I am currently reading (on a Kindle) “The Prolegomena of the History of Ancient Israel.” It is the document Hypothesis that basically claims Moses did not write the first five books of the Bible. I maintain Moses did but I find this interesting for the parallels it suggests in the development of Christian practices and rituals.

I just finished a book totally unrelated on annuities since I want to retire in two years.

My next book will probably be on the subject of ‘suffering.’ This is not a morbid or macabre interest but part of my research on my next book on explaining how a loving God can allow it.

Please be patient if your comment doesn't show up right away... I will 'release' it as soon as I can. Thanks for your thoughts! ~MizB
