The Sunday Salon (Feb.21)
This week I have been busy doing research about resumé-writing, writing cover letters, and working from home. And, it’s been helpful, as I’ve learned some very important things.
Several years ago, I’d read “Resumés for Dummies” and a few other resumé-writing books, and thought I had it all figured out. But, apparently things change pretty quickly in the job world, and things are being done differently nowadays.
Anyhoo. Now I’m moving on to reading some of the review books and library books that I have waiting for me. Review books include: “Eats With Sinners” by Arron Chambers, “The Twilight Gospel” by Dave Roberts, and “Scars & Stilettos” by Harmony Dust. Library books include: “Godmother” by Carolyn Turgeon (yep, still trying to get back to that!), “Fragile Eternity” by Melissa Marr, “Do Hard Things” by Alex & Brett Harris, and “Switch” by Chip & Dan Heath. ((This last one I just got in yesterday, and have already read the first chapter — it seems like it’s going to be really good!))
This Past Week @ Should Be Reading:
+ Musing Mondays: Reference Books
+ Teaser Tuesdays
+ New Beginnings Wednesdays
+ WWW Wednesdays
+ BTT: Olympic Reading
+ Friday Finds (featuring: Charlaine Harris, David Niven, and others)
+ FnFS: Why Wouldn’t You Recommend It?
