The Sunday Salon (Feb.28)
Despite having had to work three days this past week, I did still manage to finish a book: “The Twilight Gospel” by Dave Roberts. It’s a short little book, so I finished it fairly quickly — when I had the chance to read. You can read my review of it in the last post here at my blog.
Yesterday I was sooooo excited! Our town got a brand new library, and yesterday was the first day it was open to the public! Where we used to have only about 2400 sq. ft. divided over 2 floors (with the adults section being upstairs, and the children’s section being in the basement), we now have 6800 sq. ft. of space, and both adults & children’s books are all on one level! There’s a sitting area with comfy chairs, there are multiple computer “workstations” (instead of just one or two computers, we now have about 8 or 9), and they’ve added some new-to-our-branch books, too! It’s awesome! And, I’m completely thrilled! I spent about an hour-and-a-half in there, yesterday, and was completely in my glory!
This coming week, I am hoping to dig back into “Godmother” by Carolyn Turgeon. I’d set it aside for several weeks to finish some review books, but now I am fairly caught up. So, I’m going to go back to my library books. Other library books include: “Fragile Eternity” by Melissa Marr, “Switch” by Chip Heath & Dan Heath, and “Do Hard Things” by Alex & Brett Harris.
I also came across some really great-sounding books, while reading my friend, eLisa’s, blog, ExtravagantGrace.net. But, I don’t want to share those titles until Friday, because otherwise I might have nothing to share in my Friday Finds event! So, if you want to know about them, definitely come back here on Friday!

:: “The Twilight Gospel” by Dave Roberts

Your library sounds wonderful. Ours is really tiny, so I normally have to order all my books.
Good luck with Godmother. I didn’t really like the story but the writing style is interesting.
I think it really depends. I like things with a different style, but the execution is what really decides whether it works or not.
