Musing Mondays (May 31)
From now on, MUSING MONDAYS will be hosted (once again) here at Should Be Reading!
This week’s question asks…
Do you ever read a word or phrase that sparks a specific place or setting in your mind and makes you crave to read a book with that type of place/setting in it?
For example, I read something, recently, that made me crave a book that was set in New York and had the main character living in a bachelor/studio apartment, and visiting a small café regularly. What I read had no mention of New York, or probably even a café, and yet the reading triggered the setting for me to the point where I could visualize it in my mind’s eye, and the sense of it was very strong.
Unfortunately, I don’t often know of a book that has the setting/place in it that I’m craving, and so the feeling passes, and I just go on with things. But, I almost wish I had a resource for finding books with the settings I end up craving.
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Musing Mondays post, or share your answers in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

Hi MizB
Have you read ‘The Friday Night Knitting Club’. It fits your “cravings” quite well I think

No, actually, I haven’t read that. Thank you so much!

Off the top of my head, Truman Capote’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s takes place in NYC- no cafes though.

Also, there is a great mystery series by Cleo Coyle that is set in New York City and a coffee shop. It’s the Cofee House Mystery series and the first book is called ‘On What Grounds’. Enjoy
Cute! Thanks!

Sounds like a typical day for me. I like the oxymoron feel of the title.
This long weekend definitely has me behind on a few things! Hahaha! I also have to say that I might have taken the question this week onto a bit of a tangent, but you can find my response on my blog:

My tease Tuesday is here: http://amomentwithmystee.blogspot.com/2010/06/teaser-tuesday-3.html
My interest is sometimes piqued by a historical event or literary reference I come across in a book, but it’s usually directly related. You can find my response here.
Thanks, bookmarked!
