REVIEW: “Bitten” by Kelley Armstrong
This book wasn’t nearly as good as I expected. Everyone had raved about it, including a manager of mine at work, so I figured I’d try it. Unfortunately, the excessive first-person rambling bored me to death. The only thing that kept me going were the romance scenes and the chase/hunt/action scenes.
Admittedly, the last few chapters really picked up the pace… the book almost redeemed itself. And, I’ll be happy to try the second book in the series IF someone can convince me that it’ll be better than this one was, as far as pages and pages of Elena’s rambling goes. LOL. ((I just don’t like that sort of thing in my books!))
Otherwise, this just wasn’t a series for me, I guess.

This series picked up for me after the second book, so don’t give up on the series just yet.
Good to know. Thanks, Marg.
What a shame! I heard good things about the first one — can’t wait to hear your thoughts on the second one if you pick it up!
Hey, don’t necessarily take my word for it. Maybe it’d appeal to you. I just don’t like it when there are pages & pages without dialogue. If you can stomach that sort of thing, perhaps you’d still enjoy this one!
I really like this series. Elena is my favorite character but several of these books are told by a different main heroine.
That’s too bad. I actually really enjoyed Bitten and all the other books in the series. Maybe one focused on someone other than Elena would be better for you.
Do they all contain pages and pages without any dialogue, though? ‘Cause that’s what bugged me most.
Oh I’d heard good things about this book too. Guess I’ll still try it coz I liked the other books
once again Jai ho !!!!!!!!!!!!
