REVIEW: “The Christian Atheist” by Craig Groeschel
Too many Christians believe in God… but then live as if He doesn’t exist. They still worry all of the time, they trust in money to help them, they know God loves others but don’t necessarily believe that’s true for them, and they don’t think change is possible, despite God’s power.
Craig invites those people to fully surrender their lives to Christ in order to see life differently.
I really enjoyed this book. Right from the beginning, Craig’s easygoing writing style pulled me in, and his humor kept me reading. I especially enjoyed the chapter on worry, and the one on change. I also liked that he uses words from the Greek and Hebrew to help us more fully understand his points, here and there.
In a way, this book reminded me a little bit of Jason T. Berggren’s “10 Things I Hate About Christianity“. Maybe it’s only because Craig is a pastor, too… or, maybe it’s because of the subject matter. Either way, I loved them both, and would recommend them to anyone who’s slightly disillusioned with their faith, and feeling that it could be more.
Rated: B+

Oooh…those sound good. I’m going to read them. Going onto my TBR. Good Review:)
