Musing Mondays (Sept.27)

This week’s musing asks…

If your book group asked you to bring two (2) suggestions for group reads to your next meeting, what two books would you suggest? Why?

I actually just met with my face-to-face book group, last Wednesday, to choose our group reads for the next 9 months. Our format is to bring 2 or 3 suggestions, then we all vote for 2, throw these votes in a hat, and the 9 picked become our next years’ worth of books.

This time around, I suggested “Open: An Autobiography” by Andre Agassi, and “Your Roots Are Showing” by Elise Chidley.

I suggested “Open” (even though I haven’t yet read it) because I heard –from my online book groups– that it’s a very good read and that, even if you don’t love tennis, you can still really appreciate this book’s story.

And, I suggested “Your Roots Are Showing” because I read it recently, and thought it was lighthearted, and would make for a fun discussion.
