REVIEW: “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Future“
A short book that details lessons Michael has learned from his life, so far, and people who have encouraged/inspired him along the way.
Michael claims not to aim at giving advice in this book written for graduates, and yet he does just that, whether inadvertantly, or on purpose.
I found lots of great tidbits of wisdom inside.
I think my favorite chapter was “Comparative Literature“, where he starts listing off books-to-movies he has seen and enjoyed.
I read this book because my f2f book group has chosen it as a group read for this coming December. And, I’m glad I chose to give it a try (I don’t read all of the books my group chooses, normally), as I might not have picked up this book otherwise.
Recommended. Rated: B+

Added to my reading list.
I love MJF, but I haven’t even read his autobiography because I thought it would be too sad. Maybe I’m missing a great book here?
Has anyone else read his other books?
