Musing Mondays (Oct.18)
Do you prefer hardcovers, trade paperbacks (the bigger ones), or mass market paperbacks (the smaller ones)? Why?
Personally, I’m not sure what I prefer. Most of the time, I guess I’d go for the trade paperbacks. They’re a good size for holding, they aren’t usually very heavy, the print isn’t so small that I really have to strain to read the words, and I can still take them with me in my purse.
Occasionally, though, I prefer a mass market paperback — just cause they’re small, portable, and usually read pretty quickly.
Hardcovers are nice for the books that I’ve already read, that I want to keep in my collection. They last longer. But, they don’t make for easy reading.
I especially like the chunkier trade paperbacks, because of the way they flop open when you read them.
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Musing Mondays post, or share your answer in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

I prefer paperbacks just because they are easier to hold when I ‘m reading. I also like the chunky books.
I agree that hardback books are best for those I want to keep.
I don’t like cheesy book jackets, so I throw those away.
I definitely prefer paperbacks.
Hardbacks look better for sure, but as I ever only read a fiction book once, then pass it on for someone else to share, the look of a book isn’t really an issue for me.
Paperbacks are just so much easier to handle and if your TBR pile is as large as mine, they are easier to store also.
The last point is that Hardbacks are so expensive, that I would never pay full price for a fiction book.
Thanks for listening
