Teaser Tuesdays (Nov.23)

November 23, 2010

teasertuesdays31 Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teasers:

“Like all practical dreamers, having committed to a dream, they jump into reality with both feet and put their time, energy, and money to work on living their dream. Not later, not someday, but right now.”

~ p. 100, “The Practical Dreamer’s Handbook” by Paul & Sarah Edwards

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your two ‘teasers’ in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

  26. Practical dreaming sounds like a bit of a contradiction – I bet it’s an interesting book.

My teaser and a very special multi-media giveaway.

  27. That’s a lovely, inspiring teaser. Very thought provoking, I wonder how many dreamers think of themselves as ‘practical’ dreamers. I suppose my practical is part of my dream itself.

    My selection this week is from ‘A Sensible Life’ by Mary Wesley and can be found here;

    http://scribble-scatter.blogspot.com/2010/11/teaser-tuesday-5.html

  28. Your teaser is great. The only problem with it is most dreams are expensive. Sometimes you have to wait a little to get a lot. Like my library. Saving up for it but I should start to be able building it in two weeks.

    • Loving it! Only problem is, while it’s only about 200-ish pages long, the book is taking me forever to read because it keeps sending me off into daydreaming! LOL. :P

I’d recommend it, though. Especially if you have excuses about why you don’t currently chase after your dreams… if you keep waiting for “someday”… then this book is DEFINITELY one you wanna read. ;)

  48. That’s great advice, but even the practical dreamer will get no where without a healthy dollop of luck.
