The Sunday Salon (Dec.26)

Merry Christmas, everyone! My family and I had a nice day, yesterday. Presents for the kids, and then brunch, visiting, and dinner at my mom’s house… and more gifts for the kids. LOL. (I’d gotten my gift — money — prior to Christmas, as I was in need of it for something).

The other night, while out Christmas shopping, I was in the local Chapters bookstore. And, since I had money from my Dad for my birthday, last week, I couldn’t help myself — I bought 4 books I’ve been wanting to get for a while! “The Crimson Rooms” by Katharine McMahon, “Chicken Soup for the Soul: Runners” edited by Jack Canfield, “Switch: How to Change Things When Change is Hard” by Chip Heath & Dan Heath, and “Thirst vol. 3: The Eternal Dawn” by Christopher Pike. I still have a few books I’d like to get, but I’m going to wait until January, as then I’ll not have to pay the extra shipping for a pre-order (one comes out in January). The books I’m waiting on are “The Other Life” by Ellen Meister (January publication date), “Basic Jewelry Making” by Ted Walker, and “Mere Churchianity” by Michael Spencer.

From my Grandma, for Christmas, I got a gift card for Zellers. I don’t normally shop there, but I’ve decided what I’d like to get: two DVDs (“New Moon” and “Eclipse” from the Twilight saga), and two CDs –one of which I already bought: “Much Dance 2011” (various artists) and “Glee: volume 1“.

On another note, for those who didn’t see my recent post, I’m planning on bringing back a couple of the weekly events I’d cancelled… I miss them, and can’t stand the “quiet” in my life! LOL. So, next week (not tomorrow, but in January), please look for MUSING MONDAYS and WWW WEDNESDAYS!
