REVIEW: “How It Ends” by Laura Wiess

January 1, 2011

First book finished this year, and I really enjoyed it. It has teenage drama, and yet, it has such a deeper story, too.

The story details both the lives of Hanna — and her high school highs and lows — and her elderly neighbor, Helen — with her secrets. The story also deals with the ravages of Parkinson’s disease, and how it steals a person’s life from the inside-out.

Definitely a book I’d recommend.

  1. Congrats on the 1st book completed and it being a good one. I read Such a Pretty Girl by her and it was also good.

    Happy New Year to you

  2. I like your review of How It Ends. It’s always amazing to read about older people with secrets. Then, I think these are the people who would have the most secrets.

  3. I read this awhile back and loved it!

  4. Will put it in my TBR
    The cover is nice

  5. I read this book this year, too. It was a random library read and I was pleasantly surprised! Glad you liked it :o )

Please be patient if your comment doesn't show up right away... I will 'release' it as soon as I can. Thanks for your thoughts! ~MizB
