Musing Mondays (Jan.31)
This week’s musing (again, thanks to Squidoo), asks…
What’s the last thing you stayed up half the night reading because it was so good you couldn’t put it down?
Hmm… Well, being “old” and all (early thirties is –according to my mean siblings!– “old”. LOL), I have learned better than to stay up half the night, reading. LOL. Heck, I can’t keep my eyes open past 10:30 p.m, half the time! LOL. So, there hasn’t been a book that has kept me up “half the night”.
BUT…
I will admit to having stayed up past the time I would normally go to bed, as a book was just that good… and the last book I did that for was “The Girl in the Gatehouse” by Julie Klassen. I really enjoyed the story.

Before that, it was probably “The Renaissance Soul” by Margaret Lobenstine, and before that “Shadow Hills” by Anastasia Hopcus (these two were near the end of last year, though).
I’m actually hoping that there will be some really good can’t-put-’em-down books for me, this year! We shall see!
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Musing Mondays post, or share your answer in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

Ironically enough, “A Far Better Rest” by Susannne Alleyn, which is A Tale of Two Cities from Sidney Carton’s perspective. I was underwhelmed at first, but 30 or so pages in I was hooked. I reviewed it in full here:

I remain very impressed by the author and want to read more.
