Just when I thought that Elena was going to end up with Stefan, there’s a plot twist, and everything changes ~ effectively making me NEED to read the next book in the series! LOL
I am totally and completely hooked now. 
I may have to find time to watch the TV show (based on the series) now, after all! I haven’t, yet, but I hear it’s different from the books and I’m curious.

—if your library has a waiting list, you may want to check and see if they have an ebook option—I live in the middle of nowhere, and even my library is doing it!!!—of course, the convenience of an ebook may depend on if you have an ereader—but if you get desperate enough and don’t mind reading it on your computer, it’s a nice option to have!!!
I do have an eReader, but am not sure my library would have it via that option, yet. They have an ebook collection, but it’s not very big, yet.
We’ll see.
I actually don’t mind waiting a short while, as I have a couple of review books to read in the meantime.

I am glad that you are enjoying this series. I need to look into them again. I read the first book but really preferred the tv series so I stopped reading them. Your reviews make me want to pick them up again and give it another try. The show is good but I feel like I am the only “Team Stefan” watching it. lol you will have to let us know what you think of it!
You do a fine job of reviewing The Vampire Diaries. I too want to read them. I have seen a few episodes of the tv series and thought they were quite good. It would be easy to become addicted to the series. I will have to add the Diaries to my must read list.
I have watched the series and thought it really good. I might have to read the books to see what it is meant to be like properly.
My grandma took my set of this series before I was able to read them first and from what she told me they sound a lot different from the TV show. I always have a hard time reading a book if I’ve seen the movie (which is why I always read the book first if possible), so I hope that I will be able to get into these books as I’m really enjoying the TV show!
