WWW Wednesdays (Mar.2)

March 2, 2011

To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

My answers:

What are you currently reading? I’ve still got a bookmark in The Fury” by L. J. Smith (book 3 of The Vampire Diaries). But, I’ve also picked up a couple of other books: “A Trail of Ink” by Mel Starr (review book), “God Between the Covers” by Marcia Ford (interlibrary loan), and –just last night– “Saving Jesus From the Church” by Robin R. Meyers. All good books… trying to read bits of each at a time (a chapter here or there) in order to finish more books, faster. What do you think? LOL

What did you recently finish reading? I finished “Lazarus Awakening” by Joanna Weaver, last weekend, and loved it. Read it in a day, basically.

What do you think you’ll read next? That depends. Probably “Lucky” by Glenn Packiam (review book), if it shows up in the mail. Otherwise it’ll probably be another library book, like “Drive” by Daniel H. Pink. We shall see!

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own WWW Wednesdays post, or share your answers in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

  1. I thought I was the only one with that many books “on the go”! Here is my WWW post:

  2. I used to read many books at the same time too! LOL!
Can’t help it. The books are extremely tempting!

    Here‘s mine this week; http://ruzbookshelves.blogspot.com/2011/03/www-wednesdays-232011.html

  3. Oh, I read so slowly. You read Lazarus Awakening in a day??? I just received it yesterday. Very anxious to read it. Drive is an interesting title.

  4. My www is here. Happy reading and blogging.

  5. Usually when I am reading more than two books that means I don’t really care for one of them, do you find this to be true?

    • Sometimes it’s that way for me, too — well, actually, MOST of the time. But, since I’m now working full-time (instead of sitting at home most days), I don’t have as much reading time. SO, I’m trying again… hoping that this time it’ll be different…

But, isn’t the definition of insanity “doing the same thing, hoping for different results”? LOL. :P

    • It’s not that way for me. I would guess that I have a bit of ADD in me. I choose which book I want to be reading at any point in time somewhat by the mood that I’m in. And, since I “read” books in different media such as audio books and electronic books, sometimes I’m not able to stick with just one book at a time.

  6. I’m really looking forward to reading what you think of “A Trail of Ink”. Here are my WWWs for this week:

    • The blog tour for “A Trail of Ink” is March 10th, so you won’t have to wait long! :P I’ll have my review posted then, along with the tour info ((which includes the first chapter of the book!)). ;)

  7. I love that you have just as varied book interest as I do. To many books never enough time.

    Here’s my answers: http://composingcat.blogspot.com/2011/03/www-wednesday-march-2.html

  8. Mine is up. Elsi’s http://WWW…Wednesday. I’m a bit undecided about what to read next, but I have hundreds of books on my Kindle — not to mention the myriad books printed on paper — to choose from.

  9. Here’s mine: http://myreadersblock.blogspot.com/2011/03/www-wednesdays.html

I rarely read more than one book at a time. When I do, it’s usually one fiction and one non-fiction or poetry or short stories. I don’t like to do two novels at the same time.

  10. I find it a tad difficult to juggle more than 2 maybe 3 books tops at a time. Kudos to you for accomplishing it!! Here’s my WWW post: My Bookshelf

  11. I recently finished “Last Sacrifice” by Richelle Mead. I am currently reading “The Lost Hero” by Rick Riordan and “Chicken Soup for the Soul:Teacher Tales” by Jack Canfield. I plan on reading “Vanishing Acts” by Jodi Picoult next.

  12. I am currently reading The Matchmaker of Kenmare by Frank Delaney.
I recently finished A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness.
I think I shall read Dracula in Love by Carolyn Essex or The Little Giant of Aberdeen County by Tiffany Baker.

  13. Hey, great idea. i participated for the 1st time.. my blog’s in german, but i hope it’s okay for me to join anyway. http://lilanbooks.wordpress.com/2011/03/02/www-wednesday/

  14. My WWW is here.

I try to read numerous books at a time but I end up putting them down for one when it starts getting good. I give up!

Please be patient if your comment doesn't show up right away... I will 'release' it as soon as I can. Thanks for your thoughts! ~MizB
