Musing Mondays (Mar.28)
This week’s Musing asks…
Do you read books while you…
…eat? … bathe?… watch movies or tv?… listen to music?… While you’re on the computer?
I do not read & eat at the same time, nor do I read & bathe at the same time (too afraid of getting the book wet!). Can’t watch TV/movies & read at the same time (lack of concentration)… same with listening to music. And, definitely not while I’m on the computer — unless I’m downloading something, and it’s taking forever. Then I may pull out my book and read for a minute… but usually not, ’cause then the downloading ends, and it just frustrates me, ’cause I had only just gotten into the book, again! LOL.

I dont read during these activities but I do listen to audio while getting ready in the morning and while cooking and cleaning.

I do read while I watch TV. When the show goes to commercial, I mute my tv and then pick up my book to read. I don’t take baths and it would be hard to read while I eat.
I read and bathe in the tub at the same time. I do not nor can I read and watch tv at the same time or listen to music. That would be too much stimulation.
Sometimes life does get in the way of reading doesn’t it? ha! ha!

I do sometimes watch tv and read, i have listened to music/radio and read.If there’s nothing on tv or its a commercial break i might read.
Computer not done that one.

I can eat while I read but it has to be a well-worn book or with my e-reader. I like listening to music while I read but I’d rather have it based on the mood in the book. Reading while watching tv is too distracting and I can’t keep my hands dry enough to hold a book.

Books and music come hand in hand for me. You could hardly find me reading a book without listening to music. They just come so natural.
As for other activities, no I don’t do them while reading.
I do occasionally read in the tub, but only my own books, not any borrowed from a friend (just in case). I cannot read with the TV on as it is too distracting–plus, that’s usually my stitching time. I can read with music on low, but not if the music/noise is coming from the stereo next door.
I read books while I :
brush my teeth, eat, watch tv, walk around the house (literally), cook, put in my contacts (that can be tricky)…. basically, I eat whenever I’m not required to be social and I’m not at work (although I do sneak in some pages during lunch, if I can!)
(I have a book review blog, but I’m too tired today to put up a post!)

Like you, when I’m reading I’m reading. If I’m cooking something and I don’t have to watch it then I’ll get a few pages in but other than that I give my books full attention.
