REVIEW: “Awakened” by P.C. & Kristin Cast
Book #8, House of Night series
Zoey & Stark are back from the Otherworld and considering a stay on the Isle of Skye. But, back at the House of Night school in Tulsa, Neferet is trying to reinsert herself as High Priestess, and showing herself as reformed. But, Zoey’s friends know that Neferet is still not what she shows herself to be.
This eighth installment was hard to get into at first, and I had to get about halfway through before things started picking up the pace, for me. I wasn’t caring about the characters like I have with other books. But, like I said, this did change about halfway through, and now I’m looking forward to book 9, “Destined“, due out this Fall.

Dear God, this series needs to end already! Sigh…
Did they constantly recap in Awakened like they they did in the others? I still have Burned and Awakened to read but I haven’t heard that much about them from other readers and I find myself preoccupied with other shiny books.
