Musing Mondays (June 27)
Have you ever read a book that inspired you to take up a cause? What book was it, and what is/was the cause?
While I haven’t yet put any action behind it, reading ”The Irresistable Revolution” by Shane Claiborne made me feel that I should do something about / toward homelessness. I have since gone on to read other books regarding the cause (eg. “Under the Overpass” by Mike Yankoski), and then found out that my cousin did a documentary (DVD) about homelessness in my community, and got myself a copy of that.
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Musing Mondays post, or share your answer in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

That is great that your cousin made something to open people’s eyes a little more and awesome that you are looking more into what to do.

I haven’t written up a post, so I’ll just write a comment here:
For me, Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird was THE book. I was just a kid when I read it, so I really identified with the kid Scout and I idolized her dad and wanted to grow up to be brave & true just like Atticus Finch. I like to think that Atticus has helped me grow a backbone to speak up when I think it’s needed (even when it’s scary).
I wish that I had a more inspiring answer…but I must be honest, so HERE we go.
