REVIEW: “Let God Change Your Life” by Greg Laurie
This book started off well. There were a couple of pages where the author had me laughing so hard I was in tears!
But, that was the last of the humor, unfortunately. The rest of the book was full of the preachiness that I despise, and I found very little grace inside… in fact, I felt that there was a lot of condemnation. There were also some red flags that went up as I was reading — I will have to look those up to see whether/not they are definite theological errors, or just my own misunderstandings.
I really wanted to like this book. I had a hope that it would delve more into the First Century church (found in the book of Acts), and how we could emulate that. But, I guess I either misunderstood the book’s topic, or whatever.
Sure, there were some good points to this book. And, the author definitely has a heart for evangelism. But, this just wasn’t my cup of tea, overall. I ended up skimming the last 4 chapters, as I just couldn’t take it any more.
Rated: D

probably a good read, will look out for it!
What were those red flags? Could you share at least one theological point you disagreed with?
No, I’m not interested in arguing, just curious because I too am reading this book, and value another’s opinion.
Thank you.
