REVIEW: “Restless In Carolina” by Tamera Leigh

July 19, 2011

At first, I thought this book was going to be too “chick-lit” for my liking. But, as I got a few chapters into it, it definitely got better, and I started to enjoy it to the point where I couldn’t put it down!

Bridget Pickwick Buchanan has been mourning the loss of her husband for the past 4 years. But, her family thinks that she needs to finally move on and start living her life, again. Bridget isn’t so sure.

In the meantime, her Uncle Obadiah’s estate is up for sale, and there is an eco-friendly developer that Bridget is intent on selling the property to. But, her plans get wrenched when someone else steps in and wants to offer competition ~ in more ways than one.

I enjoyed this book very much, and would definitely recommend it. I’m a sucker for happily ever afters. ;)

  1. I am also reading Restless in Carolina am enjoying this. I think it has alot of depth, which I was not expecting. I can’t wait to finish.

    • Yeah, that’s what I got, too — not really “chick lit”, as it has that depth you spoke of. I was pleased to find that about this book. ;)

  2. I was thinking this was chick-lit but it sounds like I rushed to judgment. Thanks for correcting me! I’d like to read about a woman who suffers a terrible loss but comes out smiling in the end after a period of mourning.
    Thank you :o )

  3. That sounds pretty good!

Please be patient if your comment doesn't show up right away... I will 'release' it as soon as I can. Thanks for your thoughts! ~MizB
