REVIEW: “Kiss Of Night” by Debbie Viguie
This is the first e-book that I got for review from NetGalley.
Susan is in Prague for her grandmother’s funeral. But Susan soon discovers that there are many secrets that her Grandmother had held. One of which is that vampires exist.
With the help of the vampire, Raphael, Susan unlocks one of her grandmother’s secrets ~ but only to an extent. The rest she has yet to learn.
I loved this book! Couldn’t put it down, and finished it in two days! The only thing that frustrated me is that the book leaves you hanging! The end doesn’t tie anything up, and you have to wait for the next book! I will definitely be reading that, though, ’cause I need to know how things are going to play out!

Wow, it sounds really interesting and the cover is gorgeous! I want to read this one….
Glad you liked it!
I just finished reading it – and I loved it! But I keep wondering if conservative christian readers will find the concept of Vampires a little bit disturbing. I am an editor in a christian publishing house in Germany and you wouldn’t believe what kind of letters we received after publishing a book on “The Lord of the RIngs” and its symbolism …
I’m sure they might! My own mother — upon hearing that I was reading a “Christian vampire” book — said that “those two words don’t go together!” Then she printed off an article for me to read, from the internet, that talks about Christian girls and their obsession with vampires. LOL. I’m in no way “obsessed”, and had to explain that I don’t go all “ga-ga” for vampires. LOL.
Ah well.
Personally, I love it that Christian publishers & authors are branching out and trying to reach a wider audience! That way I can still read “Christian” books, but I also still find the genres, or the types of books, I enjoy.

I am an editor in a christian publishing house and we just talked about publishing Debbie’s book over here in Germany. I would really love to do that! Even though I still remember all the angry letters we received after we published a book on “The Lord of the Rings”.
