The Sunday Salon (Aug.21)
Last Sunday, the family and I were in London, Ontario, and we got to once again visit the Gibraltar Weekend Market (hubby wanted to buy some pepperettes sausages). So, I –also, once again– got to visit the book sellers there! And, with about 7 books to trade, I got myself a $56 credit (which, added to the $10 credit I still had leftover there from last time, gave me $66). And, with this, I got myself 9 new-to-me books (one of which was for my son).
Whoohoo!
This is what I got:
• “Nightworld” book #1 by L. J. Smith
• “Nightworld” book #2 by L. J. Smith
• “The Vampire Diaries: The Return: Nightfall” by L. J. Smith
• “The Vampire Diaries: The Return: Shadow Souls” by L. J. Smith
• “Dark Secrets” vol. #1 by Elizabeth Chandler
• “Dark Secrets” vol. #2 by Elizabeth Chandler
• “City of Ashes” by Cassandra Clare (book #2, Mortal Instruments)
• “Fragile Eternity” by Melissa Marr (book #3, Wicked Lovely)
Not bad, eh?
I also picked up a copy of “Torment” by Lauren Kate for 30% off at the local drugstore, this past week. I was happy to finally see it out in paperback.
Review books are slowly coming along. I’ve finished two more — “Always a Princess” by Alice Gaines, and “Mirror Ball” by Matt Redman. And now I’m reading another: “Sifted” by Rick Lawrence.

Great haul of books! I actually bought the Vampire Diaries ones.. I think it’s a “compilation” of the first 3 in one book.. haven’t gotten around to reading it yet.
I didn’t know London, ON had that market where you can trade! Oh, so many books I’d have to trade there… lol
Yeah, there are two (2) used-book places there… I prefer “Lucy’s Books”, but the other one is good, too. I love being able to trade for new-to-me books!
Hey — if you do stop by the Gibraltar Market, and if you like coffee, you’ll also have to stop by “The Bean Cart”. It’s got AWESOME coffees and other drinks (my fave is the white-hot-chocolate toasted marshmallow).
