Musing Mondays (Sept.12)
What is the one (or maybe two) qualities a book must have for you to pass it along to your best friend as a “must-read”?
For me, if it’s fiction, the book has to have either really relatable characters, and/or a realistic storyline. The characters must be really well developed, and I need to have felt that I “knew” them. And the storyline has to have felt so believable that I completely lost myself in it… the book has to have drawn me in so fully, that –for the time I was reading– I forgot about “real life” for a while.
If it’s nonfiction, the book has to have really spoken to me; really touched upon something that I feel is unique to my current situation, or to something I know that someone else is currently dealing with. If I feel it could help someone else that I know, and if I feel the information is worthwhile, I won’t hesitate to recommend the book or pass it on.
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Musing Mondays post, or share your answer in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

Im all for relatable characters, it makes for a stronger story and its the key to pull the story line.
My MM: Seeing Night Reviews: My Musing Monday “Must Read”
A book definitely needs relatable characters that I connect with or else it ruins the whole story for me. Under developed characters are also a turn off in fiction books.
Here’s my Musing
I like the character driven stories the best.

My friends and I don’t really have similar tastes in books (unfortunately) so I have no way of telling if they’ll like the characters that I do! I focus more on the plot!
