NEW: My Favorite Find!

September 24, 2011

Every Friday, I post my weekly event, “FRIDAY FINDS“. And, usually, I have a favorite “find” ~ one of the books makes me want to read it right now! (the others look good, but I’m not drooling over them. LOL). So… I decided to create a new event where I’ll share that one drool-worthy book from that week’s ’finds‘. I may not post this event every Saturday — it depends on whether there were any books that really stood out for me, I guess. But, like I said, I usually have one book that does. So, without further ado, here is the first installment…

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

This week’s drool-worthy “find” ~ for me ~ was “Stay With Me” by Paul Griffin. I love the cover, and the description makes me want to go get myself a copy as soon as possible, so I can start reading! Here’s that description (courtesy of GoodReads.com):

An urban romance that will capture your soul, break your heart, and restore your faith in the human spirit

Fifteen-year-olds Cece and Mack didn’t expect to fall in love. She’s a sensitive A student; he’s a high school dropout. But soon they’re spending every moment together, bonding over a rescued dog, telling their secrets, making plans for the future. Everything is perfect. Until. Until. Mack makes a horrible mistake, and in just a few minutes, the future they’d planned becomes impossible. In this stark new reality, both of them must find meaning and hope in the memories of what they had, to survive when the person they love can’t stay.

From award-winning writer Paul Griffin, Stay with Me is both heartbreaking and uplifting, filled with characters (both dog and human) that will forever change the way you look at the world.

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own My Favorite Find post, or share your ‘fave find’ in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks! :D

  1. This sounds like a read I’ll love. I write this genre of YA, and in turn love reading it. Thanks for this!
