The Sunday Salon (Oct.30)
This Sunday finds us right at the end of October, already. Sheesh! But, I love all the pretty colors outside, right now. Fall is my favorite time of year.
I got books in the mail, this past week. “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young, which will have a review posted here at SBRÂ sometime soon! And, three books from my most recent Amazon order ~ “Creative Girl” by Katharine Sise, “Reshaping it All” by Candace Cameron Bure {read my review}, and “Stay With Me” by Paul Griffin. Most looking forward to digging into that last one! But, so far, I’ve been skimming through “Creative Girl“, first, and it’s good! I love that it’s got lots of ‘exercises’ for you to work through in order to find a job you can do that will use your creative side to help you make money.
I’m almost through “Get Healthy for Heaven’s Sake” by Lisa Morrone ~ another of my new books ~ and have been enjoying it. It’s about learning to live healthier because God commands us to take good care of our bodies, which are His “temple” for the Holy Spirit. Loved the chapter on sleep, so far. Surprisingly, I think I’ve been getting too much sleep! You are supposedly only supposed to get between 7-8 hours per night (no more, no less) in order to feel your best. But, I consistently get 9-10 hours per night, and have always felt I needed that. Maybe, though, my forever-groggy-ness is because I sleep too long? Honestly, I need to exercise, and can’t seem to find the energy/time to do it in the evenings, after work. So I might try getting up an hour earlier and doing it then; a bonus on both sides: I would sleep an hour less, and be getting in my workout! LOL.
Anyhoo. I also still have my bookmark in “Forbidden” by Ted Dekker. While it’s fantastic, and I’m loving it, I just felt like picking up those other books, this week. So, I did. But, I’m going to try to get back into “Forbidden” this afternoon, ’cause it’ll be due back at the library, soon.
