Musing Mondays (Oct.31)
First of all…Happy Halloween to all of my readers! Are you dressing up today??? As what? I have one of those masquerade masks-on-a-stick (with feathers sticking out the top) to take to work, plus my fingernails are bright orange, and my outfit is all black.
Would you say that you read about the same amount now as when you were younger? More? Less? Why?
I definitely read more now than I did when I was younger. As a teenager, I read a book once in a while… whenever the mood struck, or whenever I had to for school. I preferred watching television.
When I hit my early twenties, and was a new stay-at-home mom, I started to read more ’cause I was bored while the baby slept, and needed something other than TV. And, things kind of snowballed from there.
Nowadays, I read an average of 72 books per year! And, when I can’t, it feels like I’ve lost part of myself. I am all-books, all the time now. Whenever I get free time, if I’m not on my computer, I’m lying on the bed, reading a book. Why? Because it’s soooo much more interesting than what’s on TV these days (IMHO).
PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Musing Mondays post, or share your answer in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

I’m the same I’d rather be reading than doing anything else.

I read about the same or even less than I did when I was younger.
Here’s my Musing
I read more now than when I was a kid. It just became my passion because of the self help books I read going through a nasty divorce.
Reading time has varied for me over the years. http://ratb2.blogspot.com/2011/10/monday-memes_31.html
Here is mine for this week: http://jaynesbooks.blogspot.com/2011/10/musing-mondays-oct-31.html

I’m not dressed up today as I’ll be working later…
Here’s my Musing Mondays post.
I’ve always been a bookworm – so I’d say that I pretty much read as much as I used to read. I even read much the same genre – fantasy and mysteries mostly.
I wish I could dress up! But sadly my boss is a stick in the mud!
Reading keeps me sane in this chaotic world.
Here’s my Musing Monday!
Happy Reading

Nice question. Here is mine:
http://escapebetweenthepages.blogspot.com/
I didn’t keep track back then but I’m guessing about the same, maybe a bit more since I don’t have to ask for a ride to or from the library but can take myself there whenever I want.
I read about a dozen new books a month, maybe as few as 7 if it is a busy month but I average 100-120 new books a year & maybe half again that much in rereads

I’m the same way! When my daughter was born, instead of sleeping, I started reading more than usual. Happy Halloween!
