REVIEW: “Forbidden” by Ted Dekker & Tosca Lee
This book takes place after Armageddon… sometime in the future. There is a new Order set up that ensures peace for all people in the world. One Sovereign reigns over all.
But, there are those who live “out of Order”… they are called the Keepers. And, what they keep is a centuries-old secret that could crush the new world order.
Rom Sebastian knew nothing of any of this — didn’t even know he wasn’t living — until a Keeper approaches him in an alley and hands him a vial and some parchment, with hurried instructions to find ‘the Book’ and learn the secrets for himself. After this, Rom is compelled to do just that, and his entire life outlook is changed because of it.
I loved this book! And, it’s the first in a series, so I’m looking forward to reading the rest. Book 2, “Mortal“, comes out next year.
The suspense was intense throughout, and the story is well fleshed-out. The characters each had their own, distinct personalities, and you could almost feel, with them, through the events that took place.
Rated: A-

This sounds like a great read. I think I will hold off on it though until the next book is out. So many book series out there to read!
