The Sunday Salon (Dec.25)
MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of my readers!!!
Since it’s Christmas day, I won’t be posting a long Sunday Salon post, today, but I will just say this…
I have chosen not to participate in any reading challenges for 2012, due to having a lack of time compared to previous years, and an overall lack of interest in them (for the most part), any more.
But…
As the new year sneaks up closer & closer, I find myself longing to create the lists for those challenges, and to set myself some reading goals for the coming year. LOL.
I read this great post by Lisa at When She Reads, yesterday, and just its format — its long list of books, with the promise of completing the checklist — really made me long for a good reading challenge. I’m sooooo tempted to create a “challenge” of sorts, just for myself, to do in the new year. LOL.
Either way, I’m looking forward to starting fresh on January 1st. I already have been looking at my shelves, and thinking that I’d like to just plow through a bunch of my own books for a few months. No library books, no review books… just the books that have been sitting on my shelves for a (long) while.
Here’s to a great new year of reading! Merry Christmas, everyone!

Merry Christmas!
Wishing you a Merry Christmas!
Merry holidays/
Merry Christmas to you!
Merry Christmas to you as well.
I can’t help but mention a challenge you might like… I recently found it. It’s a to-be-read challenge. The gist is to read books you’ve had sitting on your shelf for over a year. One a month. Then you review them on your blog.

Wishing you joy while reading and many blessings in 2012!
Merry Christmas!!
Great question… definitely had to share the new books!!
