REVIEW: “Say, ‘Yes, And!’” by Avish Parashar
This short little book is all about getting more out of life by changing one little word in your vocabulary. Instead of saying, “Yes, but…” to things, if you say, “Yes, and…”, you open up more doors to opportunity for yourself, and you become someone who is more fulfilled.
I enjoyed this book, and think it will be really useful. I know I’ve certainly “Yes, but-ed” myself out of a lot of opportunities in my life, and –like many– I have a list of regrets because of this.
While this book recommends that you say “yes” to more things in life, it also cautions that you aren’t to say it lightly. It’s about being open-minded, and giving more thought to things before dismissing them quickly, as we’re apt to do. You can still turn things down, but the author recommends giving thought to things before you do so.
I enjoyed this one. I’d recommend it.
