REVIEW: “The Art Forger” by B. A. Shapiro
Claire Roth, a struggling artist and professional forger, is intrigued when gallery owner, Aiden Markel, brings her a suspicious offer for a job. Nevertheless, she agrees to do it but then finds her in deeper than she expected, and having to race against the clock to solve a possibly centuries-old mystery.
At first, I had a hard time getting into this book. But, once the story turned to Claire working on this project, I found myself anxious to know more and couldn’t put the book down! By the end, the book kept me up past my bedtime as I had to see how things would turn out!
This was a great read, and I agree with the one reviewer, quoted on the back of the book, who said that this would make a great book club discussion book! Themes of right vs wrong, the love of art, publicity/media hype, etc. are just the beginnings of what could be talked about.
Definitely recommended {though a word to more sensitive readers: there is a little bit of adult content, but nothing graphic}.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this book with us! Definitely will need to bump it up my want-to-read pile now
I loved this book and was fascinated by the art. What a great book to tart off the year! My review is up today!
I almost picked this one up but I remembered what my current tbr pile looks like! I read The Gardner Heist last year, I think that’s where the painting in this one came from.
