Teaser Tuesdays (Sept.1)

teasertuesdays31 Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

“My mother always told me not to be bossy, so this was very confusing to me, but I realize this might come in handy right now. So I look him in the eye, point my finger to his face and say–nothing, because he interrupts me.”

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your 2 ‘teasers’ in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

  1. I LOVE that teaser. She gets her nerve up and is stopped. Very cute!
I am new now to TT. This should be fun.
My first post and I open it to the racy description of the guy looking at her playboy spread. LMAO. I think I dodged the roughest parts for my Teaser. LOL

  2. That made me laugh, having just been the m.o.h. at a good friend’s wedding. Being bossy comes naturally to me at certain times, though.

My teaser is back in the realm of the self and non-self again this week.

  4. “At four o’clock on the morning of Friday, September 2,1935, the temperature of the water of the River Moldau, black as a church bell and ringing against the stone embankment at the north end of Kampa Island, stood at 22.2 degrees on the Celsius scale. The night was moonless, and a fog lay over the river like an arras drawn across by a conjuror’s
    s hand.”
This scene painted so eloquently by Michael Chabon on page 31 of The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay.
