Teaser Tuesdays (Nov.17)

teasertuesdays31 Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teasers:

“He wasn’t sure what she was threatening, but her malevolence was obvious. She knew he never killed for sport, and he didn’t take anyone who didn’t have it coming.”

~ p.232, “Thirsty: A Novel” by Tracey Bateman

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your 2 ‘teasers’ in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

  1. oh, that’s sounds really good. Is it about a vampire?

Anyways…here is my teaser, actually three as I had a hard time deciding from among the books I read last week. All historical romances though. You can check it out here

    • Oh, I don’t think the vampire is a Christian. And, really, I haven’t yet found anything that says “Christian” about this book… other than that the author is a Christian. So, don’t let that turn you off of this book! It’s just a good story!

    • LOL. Ever since reading “Twilight“, I’ve been sucking back vampire books left & right! Can’t get enough of ’em! LOL. Yep… I’m stepping out of my “norm” to try something new, and totally am falling for the hype. 😉

  2. That’s one of those devices that is used more and more, making evil characters more palatable by having them dispatch even worse people, like those who “have it coming”, and then once you’ve identified with the main character, have them do worse and worse. (Ahhh, Godfather, you did this so well.)
My Tuesday Teaser is from the screenplay for “North By Northwest” – here.

Wow, MizB, that’s an intense teaser! I’m thinking she’s in some danger but instead of being scared, she’s threatened a killer. Sounds like a new experience for him. I definitely want to read more! You’ve got my curiosity up with this one!. Thanks!

  5. My teaser is from Julie Leto/Leslie Kelly’s “More Blazing Bedtime Stories”

“oh, right” Sarcasm saturated her words. She was humoring him. “Your’re from another planet?”
