Teaser Tuesdays (Mar.16)

teasertuesdays31 Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teasers:

“Again, it is no coincidence that after a soda commercial, you’re likely to walk over to the refrigerator and get a soda — all without realizing that you have just been reeled in like a fish on a line by crafty advertisers. Instead of eating mindlessly, we must be mindful.”

~ p.39, “Dr. Colbert’s ‘I Can Do This!’ Diet” by Dr. Don Colbert

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your 2 ‘teasers’ in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

  2. The morning fast food breakfast radio commercials are what get me. I’ve worked all night, I’m on my way home for some sleep, I’m hungry but really should be eating something light before bed, and I start craving a sausage biscuit. Darn advertisers!

    Here’s my teaser.

    • Yeah — I’m the same way. Books get me with their talk of food, because I don’t really watch TV much.

The worst is reading a DIET book, where you’re supposed to be learning to stay away from the junk food, and it keeps talking about cookies and brownies and ice cream until you go and get yourself a snack! LOL. 😛

  3. Subliminal messages in advertising are not a big surprise. In European countries there have even been measures to reduce food advertising towards children to help reduce childhood obesity. Great teaser!

    Here is my teaser.
