Teaser Tuesdays (May 4)

teasertuesdays31 Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teasers:

“But I just didn’t meet God in the halls of the Christian college like I expected I would. One night, I was hanging with two buddies who told me they were going down to the city to hang out with their ‘homeless friends’.”

~ p.47, “The Irresistable Revolution” by Shane Claiborne

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your 2 ‘teasers’ in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

  4. “My mother used to say that Kyle had an ego only second to God’s.” “What did you think about that? Your mother’s assessment of your brother?” “Detective Cross, my brother didn’t believe in God, and he wasn’t second to anyone.” -James Patterson, Violets are Blue.”

  5. Here’s my teaser, since I didn’t do a post about it yesterday:

“I’m very pleased” said Mma Ramotswe. “And maybe he’s learned a lesson too. A very interesting lesson.”
“What would that be?” asked Mma Pekwane. “That lightning always strikes in the same place twice” said Mma Ramotswe. “Whatever people say to the contrary.”
