Teaser Tuesdays (May 18)

teasertuesdays31 Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teasers:

“The answer to that question is essential because it will determine whether you are willing to yield your entire life to God’s principles rather than follow the world’s formula for happiness and success. We simply cannot have it both ways.”

~ p.75, “What Happened to My Life?” by Danna Demetre

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your 2 ‘teasers’ in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

  1. First time participant! And since I’m excited:

“Go and have it burned,” commanded King Arthur.

And recognizing that this was the zeal of youth conjoined with a novel sense of power (but the lad was a real king, for only such could have identified at long range a brothel, another ensample of which he could never have seen living in bucolic Wales), Merlin cast a spell upon King Arthur, in which he seemed to see smoke and flames arising from the stews, and therefore he was satisfied.

  3. Although I really want to know the question (“What’s six time seven?”), the all-or-nothing answer kind of annoys me. I think more of us tend to bumble around in bits and pieces than have a one-time yield-your-entire-life-to-God’s-principles moment.

And, boy, my teaser couldn’t be more different from yours!

  4. I’m still waiting for the answer to “what happened to my life.” But, I can say that it’s really amazing how easily sucked into book-buying mode we are! 🙂 I love this meme! This is the best!

I love my Borders book store! Now we know that I’m done for! LOL! Here’s my Tuesday Teaser!
