Teaser Tuesdays (June 1)

teasertuesdays31 Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teasers:

“She leaned her elbows on the edge of her desk and dropped her head down, letting her hands knead the knots in the back of her neck. What a day.”

~ p.103, “Hurricanes in Paradise” by Denise Hildreth

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your 2 ‘teasers’ in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

  1. I’ve been working your meme almost every week for quite a while, but I am horrible at leaving comments here about it. I did link to your site though! 🙂

I enjoy this weekly meme very much. 🙂

  2. Here’s a teaser from the book I’m giving away here: http://thelocalcook.com/2010/05/28/the-town-that-food-saved-book-review-giveaway/

“I never expected to become so embroiled in the moral aspects of food, and I’d begun to realize that to truly understand what was happening in Hardwick, to comprehend its implications for the town and, for that matter, anyone dependent on a global food system in crisis, I’d need to dig deeper. A lot deeper.”

  3. Sometimes the stress really does ‘get to you’ and cause pain. I hope that isn’t how you’re feeling today (that poor character!). Great teaser!

Mine this week is from Cyn Balog’s Sleepless.

    • Your teaser was most interesting. I must be blind because I could not figure out where to leave a comment. I hope you’re enjoying the book!

  4. Your teaser and that cover and title promises a good read–days that give you a headache, hurricanes to upset paradise, and the possibility of finding a pearl. Intriguing!

  5. Great idea! This is my first visit to your blog and I think I will play along next week. I have left you a shout out to encourage others to play too.
