Teaser Tuesdays (Aug.9)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My Teasers:

“So, how are your actions defining success? If you want to put yourself in a position to thrive regardless of whether times are Up, Down, or Sideways, then you have to understand what you mean by ‘success’.”

~ p.32,Up, Down, or Sideways” by Mark Sanborn [eBook c/o NetGalley]

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your ‘teasers’ in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

  1. That’s an interesting teaser. We all have different interpretation of ‘Success’. I guess it depends on what a person really wants in life. But in the end, I think what really matters is whether you’re happy or not with your life.

    Here’s my Teaser Tuesday

  2. He’s so right! I read something similar in Liz Weber’s book ‘Don’t Let ‘Em Treat You Like a Girl’. I loved that book. It’s shows women the ways that they undermine their success by acting like girls instead of like professionals. One of those things was by trying to succeed but not actually knowing what they’re working towards.

My teaser this week is from ‘Redemption’ by Laurel Dewey.

  3. I’m currently reading GLOW by Amy Kathleen Ryan. (Just letting people know if you like it your not gonna be able to find it until September 27, 2011. The only reason i have it is because i won it online!)

Seth reached for the buckle on his harness, but Kieran shouted, “Not until we stop this spin. You’d get beaten to death.”

Red letters flashed across Kieran’s screen: “Attitude Adjust Failure.” Pg (151)
