Teaser Tuesdays (Mar.6)

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
My Teasers:

“Sure enough, there was a tube. The operator said, ‘Sir, don’t panic, but one of your kidneys has been harvested’.”
~ pg.4, “Made to Stickby Chip Heath & Dan Heath

PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT with either the link to your own Teaser Tuesdays post, or share your ‘teasers’ in a comment here (if you don’t have a blog). Thanks!

  1. HI MizB,

I couldn’t read any further than your teaser lines with this one …. too close to home …. My sister-in-law has had kidney failure for 20 years and survived 2 transplants, one of which was a live donor transplant from her husband …. see what I mean!!

I did check the book out though and it is certainly going to make for some strange reading, although you may get a few laughs along the way.

Enjoy and have a good week.

  2. Sounds like it was a surprise – the kidney harvesting. Wouldn’t that just suck!?

I missed a few – but back for now. (computer issues)

My teaser is from The Sagittarius Command by R.M. Meluch. Good series – Space Opera.

Hope everyone has a great week.

  3. Sentences beginning with “don’t panic” usually cause me to panic in the first place, but that circumstance really is panic-worthy. Thank you for sharing.

My teaser this week is from My Soul to Save by Rachel Vincent.

  4. Teaser..
“We know it is womanly frailty that leads you astray.”
“We would protect you from your own willfulness and vanity.”

    – Born Wicked by Jessica Spotswood. Pg35
